Don't you folks think Obama's universal healthcare program will include addiction coverage? I think the bad economy will push even more peope over
the edge- and add to addiction numbers. Legalizing soft drugs is a tough sell. Decriminalizing soft drug posession for personal use seems more
likely and reasonable. The "Dutch" went that route and didn't show any statistical increase in addicts. While everyone is yelling "change" we should
at least consider changing some our failed methods and biases for some better results.

Woooosh- The Netherlands legalized marijuana 22 years ago. It is available at what they euphemistically call coffee shops. It is a step far beyond
decriminalization. But, you are right in that that legalization did not result in any significant increase in drug use.
And for good measure, prostitution is legal. Oh, the poor Dutch...

It had already been decriminalized. Not yet legal.

While I can't speak from personal experience on this issue, I can say that somebody should be looking at Starbucks and where they grow their
beans.....always ALWAYS gives me a buzz.
