He started out as a travelling clam merchant in the San Felipe campos and eventually had a store/ restaurant on the main street coming into town... It
is still there.
He had painted on the side of his car and on t shirts for sale that said "My Clams Make You Horney"... This was in the late 1970's.

dk, what a cool & unique thread title & idea!! I wish I'd thought of creating a thread entitled "PURE BAJA" & posting random groups of
miscellaneous Baja pics!
OH WAIT, I DID!!
I just happened to do it on TalkBaja where I can easily post pics without having to re-size them first.
While it's true there's no copyright on either the title I chose to use, nor the theme of the pics I chose to post 4 days prior to you plagiarizing
both my title & my idea & using both here on Baja Nomad, IMHO there is a moral issue & by my way of thinking your actions are below low.
Did you honest to GAWD think it'd escape my notice, let alone the notice of others who post on both sites? Ever heard of ethics?
dk, IMHO, this is no different from stealing! I certainly hope you're basking in the warm glow of the positive comments you've received for your
originality in creating this thread! Don't even THINK about responding
back to me with "peace, love & fish tacos", or your tired old "can't we just all be friends & get along?" trite, because no we
can't!
To everyone else who has posted pics here or has enjoyed the positive vibes of the thread, I offer SINCERE APOLOGIES for
the negativity this post brings to the thread, however, I've been seething over dk not even having the common human decency to come up with his own
thread title prior to anyone else adding pics to this thread!

David,
Why don't you post a link to the other site, no more backhand digs, and let's move on.

Oh, and LongLegsInLaPaz... I really have no clue why you hate me so... I have never attacked you in any way here and if is because of politics only,
that is sad.. I don't hate or dislike you... we have never met. I heard you were nice to my friend Bernie, and I appreciate that.
Yes, there is a thread on BajaGringo's forum TalkBaja.com that is called 'Pure Baja' and shows photos of bricks being made...???
If that is 'pure Baja' to you... well, okay then...
That only you can call a thread on all message boards 'Pure Baja', is beyond me. If I started a thread on Ron's board and named it the same as
yours... well I would be happy to change it to avoid any confusion.
If it bothered you that I started a thread here on Nomad, with the same name, pehaps a u2u or email would have been a mature way to request a change.
Your personal attack is just so ... oh, never mind...
Have a nice day! |
dk,
Lame response. It was apparent from seeing both threads that one was a copy. Your excuse for plagiarism is one of the weakest I have heard in a
while. If you think someone has a good idea and you want to borrow the
idea, then cite your source, give credit where credit is due.
