Muchas Gracias!

I crossed at Otay and traveled Blvd 2000 to Popotla in December. Previously I always crossed at San Ysidro and took the Toll Road along the coast. I will continue to use Otay from now on.

The only bummer about Otay to Popotla is that the first available entry onto the Toll Road south is permanently barricaded and the day I traveled they were doing construction on the second on-ramp, so I had to continue on the free road for a good bit longer. Not a big deal, but there is a significant difference between the quality of the free road and Toll road.

Also, on your way back, when you take the turn from Blvd 2000 to Industrial Blvd back west toward Otay, there are two lanes that exit right and go around the hill. I strongly suggest you stay in the right lane, even if the left lane is completely open.

As I rounded the hill to Industrial Blvd, there was a huge pot hole that I didn't see until the last minute. Fortunately, it swallowed a VW bug before me and I just drove right over the VW.

Otay/Blvd 2000 is easy squeezy.

The southbound access to the toll road is either Cantimar or La Mission.....Puerto Nuevo is blocked
