ban those damn unleashed dogs, ban the potholes,... then you can ban the bikes -- don't those slow pokes know that cranky, old, overweight gringos
gotta get somewhere fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your parents should have been banned from at least one activity I can think of.
When are we taking about "old and cranky" I think we are talking about surviving souls on Mex1.........It's scary, dangerious, I want everyone safe
and having a good journey..........it's not up to me to "ban" everyone (give me a break) I just want people to be informed and not be stupid.
of course it is legal. only a gringo could ask such a question.
It follows your logic that it would be legal to pile high a pickup with plants and have your own personal 5MPH Rose Parade down a busy one lane road.
How ridiculous, only for the sake of arguement, can you be.
They do that twice a week in Rosarito- I have to use the side-streets. Last month dozens of gringo bozos is over-sized off-road trucks and their
sound system-blaring escorts had a procession through the whole town! They ran every light and stop sign promoting some off-road race...
I had to use the side streets to get around them.

Please post the next date and location when you get on a bike and go on road for cars. I'll be there.
all you nomads are so predictable -- i hope i never get old and cranky like y'all
gull, dennis: bring it on!
How convenient for you GOAT to say "all you nomads are so predictable".
So easy to say isn't it.............because you are so different than anyone else! Whew.....we have you. Come on, you can do better than that.
I agree with most posters except goatmeat that it is dangerous for bicyclists to ride on hwy 1. Now these guys did show some intelligence by having a
blocker vehicle drive behind them. Issue is they were thinking about safety for themselves but not for anyone else which is very selfish.
These bikers were riding very nice bikes and had what appeared to be expensive equipment; i.e. helmets, clothes, etc. The blocker car was also a nice
newer vehicle; can't remember model type. They did not appear to be gringos. Someone earlier in this thread mentioned they probably had a hall pass
from the govt and I would agree based on what I witnessed.
I absolutely HATE seeing any bikers riding with those little trailers with babies behind them anywhere but on mx hwy 1 they should be arrested for
child endangerment.
As an aside a college buddy of mine who was a very athletic 6'9" former basketball player was riding his bike downhill in La Jolla near San Diego,
lost control and fell in front of a car and died instantly. He was only 40 at the time. Can you imagine the poor driver. That is why I am so careful
when I ride around bikers. I don't mind them riding it is just that I can't trust they won't lose control and fall in front of me.
Some of you may remember about 10-15 years ago a teenager took out 4 bikers riding single file in Northern California while she reached down for a
music cd.

Same here. These people arn't taco vendors on a day off. Hence, the arrogance I mentioned earlier.
This is a society that will tolerate anybody doing anything as long as they have the right connections.

we came up to a small group on bikes taking up the road with the trailing car proving interference. My friend kept his patience for about 3 or 4
minutes until traffic allowed and then simply pulled around the group, in front of the bikes and then slowed down to a crawl. When the bikes tried to
pass he sped up and then once the bikes were behind he would slow down again. This game went on for about 10 minutes until a traffic cop pulled us all
over.
bajagringoroadmenace: disconcerting to see you take pride in your road rage. but you fit in quite well with your buddies dennis and gull.
We had the time to enjoy the scenery while following behind three support vehicles and eight bikes heading south over the New Year holiday.
Our relaxed drive started at the uphill grade before the military check point to El Rosario, through the check point where they had the opportunity to
pull off to the side to let everyone pass but chose not to, then all the way to El Rosario where we pulled off at the market to give them some
distance.
We were finally able to pass them safely just before the bridge out of town. One of the support vehicles even stuck his arm out of the drivers side
window indicating that we should fall back in line and not pass. There was no way we were going to follow this biking adventure any further.
The frustrating part was when they were coasting, doing the "look mom no hands" trick as they plugged the entire lane with over 10 cars stuck behind.

Hope to see you riding your bike on the Bufadora road someday. I'll sit and watch the coyotes eat what's left of you.

Jeez, expecting you not to pass and follow this parade of marooons.
Long neck beer bottles can be easily whipped with high precision. Empties are fine, don't waste the aiming fluid.
I too think riding a bike on HWY 1 is risky. I also agree it is dangerous for every one else on the road. If they are endangering the lives of
children and babies, that is a criminal act! However, being criminal in this regard will probably never be prosecuted. It doesn't seem to be against
the law in Mexico. Their stupidity appears to be insulated by arrogance.
When finally getting around the arrogant, stupid, road hog bicyclists I am angry at them, but I take a breath and sincerely hope that no harm comes to
them.
Forgetting that not everyone thinks the way I do, I was about to say, "nobody wants to see harm come to the stupid bike riders (or rock throwers as is
the subject of another current string)." But then I read the posts of quite a few Nomads who actually do wish them harm. Very disappointing!

k-rico calls the bikers marooons and in doing so shows his superior marooonicity
typical nomad response. is this a road ragers website?
many nomads are irresponsible DWI drivers, so i imagine they have a ready supply of beer bottles in their oversized suvs and pickups. but i bet the
retirees will miss as they throw bottles at mexican youth, the DWI bottle throwers mostly seem to be overweight couch potatoes, unlikely to have good
aim
Goat, you continue to defend your irresponsible, dangerous and completely optional behavior. How can you possibly believe that riding a bicycle on Mex
1 is an OK thing to do? The hazards are obvious. The fact that bicyclists think the rest of us should accept the added danger and aggravation
indicates a rational approach does not work.
Well mine are pretty well tweaked by this subject. A completely non-essential danger added to an already dangerous situation. Closing speeds of 100
mph or more, a foot or two separation between oncoming vehicles, no shoulders, and more and more often people on bicycles, now with blocker cars
precluding an easy pass.
