Does Yosemite count?

I see the mountains of Yosemite (Galen Rowell called it "The Range of Light") from my front window.
They are about 60 miles away.
If I walk down the porch I see Sonora Pass.
Not too shabby!

I love Rowell's work, and the way he did it. He had a noble and artistically rewarding quest which never would have ended.
Too young.....Too bad.
I'm sorry.

view from new casa

Hi All,

Testing out jdtrotter's advice on posting pics on nomad. Have had trouble in the past. This is a view from what will be our new casa we're building in the Todos Santos area. The chalk is the outline of where casa will be built.

Planning on celebrating hubby's 40th next summer here with some of his high school pals who are turning 40 as well. Should be quite a christening for our new vacation pad.

It worked!

Thanks Diane...appears as if it worked. Cool now I know how to post photos. I am lame regarding posting photos so for those of you hesitating please print out jdtrotter's post titled "Dealing with Photobucket" which gives step by step easy instructions on how to post photos to bajanomad. It is easy and idiot proof.

thanks,
pacside

GREAT--I love it when more people can post more pictures---and that is one great view. Look forward to seeing the progress on your building---good luck and keep the pictures coming!

Playing around with my camera today, here is part of our front yard with someone wishing he was back swimming in the ocean in front of his other home---the one in Bahia Asuncion.:lol:

Diane...too cute. Love dogs...we have an 11 month old Golden Doodle. Here is is when he was 3 months old. We had no idea he would grow up to be 75lbs plus and still growing. But we love every bit of him.

We can't wait to bring him down to baja once our new casa is built as we will be able to stay for longer periods of time. Just doesn't make sense to fly a dog for 7 days. I'd rather drive and bring him and stay for a month. I was just telling my 4 year old today that what is so cool about baja is there aren't all these no dogs on beaches or leashes required rules.

I'll never forget getting a $70 ticket several years ago for having my two boxers off leash way down the beach from where anybody was at Pomponio Beach near Half Moon Bay here in NorCal.

Thanks pacside, I'm glad you liked them.
Yes it is an infinity pool. It wasn't quite full when the pic was taken but still cool. The complex is small-14 units. We are on the second floor, I can throw a rock in the water from the balcony. There is a patio and pool on top of the third floor and two levels above that. It really is a sweet place and just like the developer said it would be. We like it....a lot...dt
