DK, I ran my 2500 long bed in there. I am sure CS could get in there if he wanted too. It's a pretty bad place to break a truck, sometimes not doing something is the smart move.

Agree, but Cameron called me from Baja Cactus right after he tried to get there in his Raptor, and it was physically impossible (without body damage). Now, Art took his motorhome (4x4 van) in there... but did get bumper damage (as did I with my 4-door Tacoma)... four years earlier so it all depends on what you are willing to do to your truck.
Do you have any photos of your truck at the mission? That has to be epic for you?
What tire size/ lift are you running?

I don't post reports or photos. What I do is my business and is pretty boring. Epic! no, just another side trip.

I run 35' tires, I didn't lift it per say, but with the upgrades in the spension it is higher than stock. Yes, I did experience some body modifications. Rocker panel on the bed and bumper.

Not me. I don't drive roads to drive roads. I use roads to get someplace to see or do stuff. I tend to go someplace and post up for a while.

The road goes nowhere, and passes through nothing, so why waste time on it when i could be hiking or mtn biking in SPM, kayaking at BOLA, kayaking seven sisters, or hiking in so cal Lagunas or cal sierras?

Offroading just to offroad is the height of stupidity and boredom! :P

Toyota Dominates 2019 list of cars people keep for 15 years

A Baja Nomad emailed this link to me as an addition to this original post:

https://jalopnik.com/toyota-dominates-the-2019-list-of-cars-...

Trucks are included and we see the Tundra is #5 and the Tacoma is #7... Not one Ford, Chevy, Ram, or Jeep on this 2019 list??? This would be for cars and trucks bought in 2004 or earlier (15 years ago) so it remains to be seen if the Japanese brand cars continue to dominate in owner loyalty to the present time??

Wow. Those percentages are whopping...especially given the average is 7.5%....don't think this will be my criteria for a new car.

I thought this was about the Toyota Tacomas crappy write up? Clearly Tacoma owners don't want to address that! That's why they keep changing the subject,eh? LOL(quoting DK)

Did you not read what I typed? "... emailed to me by a Baja Nomad..."

One does wonder why Americans only keep Japanese brand vehicles for 15 or more years? Quality and durability matter. Friends don't let friends buy crap cars!??

As far as reliability, I believe the newer Tacoma have had some issues.

https://www.consumerreports.org/car-reliability-owner-satisf...

And with the colorado, new Ford ranger, and even the new jeep entering the fray, the Tacoma is looking a bit out dated.

And I say that as a long time Tacoma owner.
