Consumer Reports has complained about the Tacoma for years https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/toyota/tacoma, this is from 2005 to 2019. I have had 3 during these years with no problems, even rolling one outside La Paz with just a scratch. All were used in Baja and off road in the deserts. All had over 100K miles when sold. Newest is 2018 with 14,000 miles and don't understand the criticism that has been ongoing for years. Resale value must be indicative of the truck's popularity. "Rough ride, etc"? It is a truck and rides like one.

These Ford vs. Chevy vs Tacoma are entertaining to follow.

Thanks Jack for the feedback. It is a tough truck and reliable too. The four wheel drive traction systems are nothing short of amazing. Over on Tacoma World forums, they tell people who whine like Consumer Reports and mellineal test drivers to buy a Honda Ridgeline, lol!

I have a Taco and an F350.

I love my Bush Go Kart (Tacoma), but it is just not right to call it a truck. You haul a cord of firewood in a truck. Put six drums of diesel in a truck. A taco is one step above a ATV but they are fun.

I dont need a cord of wood, i live in so cal, dont get too cold here. If i need 6 drums of diesel, i would call a fuel delivery service. I suppose a taco owner could use their trailer if they needed 6 drums of diesel. Who needs 6 drums of diesel? Not defending the taco, just pointing out the facts.

My trucks (2001, 2005, 2010) were not in the frame recalls. Go to Tacoma World forums if you need to know, as I do not. Nothing is perfect, but I feel the Tacoma is pretty close.

Me and Ken did?
Ken is a Jeep guy.
I haven't made a Toyota commercial.
My Tacoma is in one of my book commercials, however. Ken was not involved but Pat and Robert were.

It wasn't a Toyota commercial... It was a Ken Cooke video at my house in 2006 (I think) asking me to describe things including my truck. Cool that you thought it could be a commercial, thanks!
