Jardines?

If anyone in the San Quintin area has info on the current status of Jardines it would be appreciated. I tried to make reservations for next winter and received no response. I also found a few friends who are going down a month earlier that could not get through to Jardines for reservations on my enthusiasm for staying there every year. Thanks to all of you Nomads.

A few Baja and BCS hotels are taking reservations by WhatsApp.

From Hotel Jardines FaceBook (10 posts in the past 2 weeks):

At Jardines Baja we have single, double, family, quartz and Suite rooms, perfect for your fishing, as a family, off road or as a couple trip 🗺️

Hotel & Restaurant Jardines Baja
📍I 3 Miles South of Colonia Lázaro Cárdenas San Quintín, B.C. México
📞 RESTAURANT I (616) 165 1651
☎️ HOTEL I (616) 165 6060
✉️ I jardinesbaja2008@gmail.com

I usually contact them by e-mail and the USA phone number usually works (619) 591-8922.

Thanks windgirl.

Every time I try their local 619 area code phone number it is busy.

Every time I email them like I have been doing for almost a decade, I get no response. There is plenty of time but I do like to get my prime date reservations in way ahead of time.

Something is definitely going on and that is the reason I asked the fine folks here on Nomad. Thanks for the responses, windgirl and David.

I suppose I could try their Mex. phone number if all else fails.

Peace, love and fish tacos, hopefully at Jardines next winter.

surfhat - hopping on to say: Their 619 number might possibly be an old Magic Jack or Vonage line .. I tried calling and I could not even get it to ring.
I texted and also emailed Carmen to let her know you are trying to make contact. HTH. Lori

I don't believe they have kept that US number since Guillermo passed a few years back. His widow - Carmen - is no longer actively working with the hotel and spends most of her time these days in the U.S.

Their daughter Esmeralda and her husband Carlos are now managing both the hotel and restaurant. Here is the correct contact info to reach the hotel now:

+52 616 165-6060
+52 616 165-6161

Thanks Lori.

Thanks Baja Gringo, as local as they come.

I will pass those local phone numbers on to my friends and see whats up. Hopefully Esmeralda and Carlos are doing fine. Maybe just an off season renovation, if there is an off season. There never was for me.
