Tourist visa question

We had a really nice time going down to see the whales over Easter week, thanks for the good advice. When we crossed the border at TJ, we stopped to get tourist visas and were told we needed to stop on our way back to turn them in at their office upstairs. Is this normally what you do? Nobody checked them in Guerrero Negro, actually they didn't check anything, just let us through.

There is no way for you to turn them back in, and nobody asks.....can you imagine the mess at the border if anyone did that? When you fly back and forth, yes, you do turn them in SO DON'T LOSE THEM.

But, if you go to Baja again, and the time has expired on the visa, don't offer it up at the imagracion office. Get a new one as if you didn't have one before.
