need guesstimate on travel time

we will be crossing northbound from Guadalupe Valley to San Diego airport Monday, Dec 2. flight departs at 12:25pm. I have no idea what to expect for crossing times on a Monday morning as our usual is Sunday morning. Not sure if the American holiday week has any effect either.
Thnx.

The average wait time can be found on the CBP Border Wait Times website: https://bwt.cbp.gov/

The long holiday weekend is a variable that may add considerably more time. Monday mornings can also be impacted by Mexicans returning to work in the USA. Then the airport in San Diego will be quite busy with holiday travel, so allow more time.

You didn't mention which border crossing, Tecate or Otay Mesa, or if you have documents for either Ready Lane or SENTRI at Otay Mesa.

Assuming that you will use regular lanes, and with your travel plans, I suggest crossing at Tecate in the early morning. The Tecate border opens at 6:00 AM.

Holidays are hard to predict line, but always longer than usual.
Go early, if you are lucky and don't have to wait, then read a book or chillax at the airport.
Terminal 1 sucks, don't go past security until last moment. Cant wait for new T1…

Most likely 2 hours plus so go early even if you have Sentri.

Sentri can be up to an hour during commuter hours but usually 30 minutes, usually. Also the traffic northbound after the crossing on the 5 during the commuter rush is quite brutal. Give yourselves lots of time as suggested earlier.

Yes Tecate opens up at 6:00 am but the commuters are there waiting much earlier. Tecate Monday mornings is almost always a very long wait, often over 2 hours.
