Cabo Santos
According to this article in the Gringo Gazette, there is a massive development (500 hotel rooms) planned for just south of Todos Santos, incorporating the
existing El Mirador restaurant and El Faro beach club. And instead of even pretending to integrate with the area's smaller projects, they are calling
the development "Cabo Santos."

Oh boy...
Hoping it doesn't actually come to fruition.
In that pre-Google Earth and social media epoch, The Code was adhered to. It was based on a simple verity: if a locale had been transformational for
you, and you had put the hard yards in to get there and to learn it, to know it, why in gods name would you broadcast the news, thus ruining the
future experience not only for yourself, but for future adventurers?

Cabo Santos? Holy Cape? They should scale it down and make it unique - not "same as". I wonder what the vacancy rate is in the Cabos for hotel
rooms and residences. Very quick AirBnB search has "over 1000" rentals available in Cabo, plus there are other rental sites.

Todos Santos was ruined by gringos long ago. The proposed hotel development will fit right in with the bloated mcmansions that gringos built

Where are they going to get the water for that hotel? My understanding is that the ground water use is already maxed out.
If they do install a de-salination system, what will they do with the brine waste?

Maybe they can sell the brine waste to the salt works at Guerrero Negro.

salt works in Guerrero Negro are no longer selling salt. Government took over the 49% from Mitsubishi and raised prices. Nobody is buying at the
higher prices.
Workers are being laid off in Gurrero Negro.

Put the brine back in the ocean. |
Is it possible that eventually this would raise the salt level in an area to the point of harming ocean life? Or, would the ocean be able to absorb
the continual brine deposit without a raise to its salinity level.
