Engine without title
I would like to take my 10ft inflatable to the Baja over Christmas. The boat is titled and registered in Texas.
I have a Hangkai 12HP motor on it, for which it's impossible to get a title, due to the red tape origination documents etc. To date, I haven't been
bothered by any authority when I use it.
Am I likely to have trouble getting into Baja, or will my boat registration be sufficient?

I crossed at Tecate a couple of months ago with a rolled up 10' inflatable strapped up on top of a 15 HP outboard inside my camper. No titles, no
registration, no questions asked.

What states require a title and registration for motors? Even if you were applying for a TIP, which isn't required because you are under 14', all they
would want to see is the title for your boat and the serial number for the engine.
