Whale Watching San Ignacio Feb Reservations Needed?

Going to San Ignacio this Feb for whale watching, do I need reservations? I’ll be driving myself down there. In the past I’ve literally just showed up and was able to get on a tour. But that was about 7 years ago. Looking for some feedback from people that have been there recently. I don’t want to make reservations in case something delays are trip (car trouble, protests, etc). Thanks!

Whale tour companies should be able to accommodate you without a reservation. With the increase in whale tourists hotels are usually full if you don't have a reservation.

I was there on February 2024. Most hotels were booked but we had no problem with getting on a tour.

I was talking to Shari (Whale Majic) a couple of days ago and a group had just called and cancelled because of the incidents in San Felipe.

You should contact her through the link she provides on this forum. She also has accommodations in Guerrero Negro for her guests.

The season starts on Jan 15.
