la bay info request

depending on waaay too many factors as of this moment, we MIGHT spend a couple of days at the bay the first week in june. can anyone tell me what a panga costs for a day? if and when we get there, where do you go to arrange a boat for the next morning? is there gas out there? and do i need to bring all my own lures or do the guys make bait before we go out? any suggestions for campsites also!

thanks

The only place I've ever gone is to the Diaz Compound, around the back of the Diaz patio and market. Sammy is the guy yo talk to. Other folks say good things about Gillermos guide. The last time I heard it was $140.00/day. I'd bring your own gear.

They sell gas in town, again behind the Diaz compound or on the right just as you enter the town from the north. It's ~$3.00/gallon. There's a new gas station but it might not be open then.

Have a good time and great fishing.

I'd take Ken's advice...

before my own, as I have a small boat there that I use. Sammy and I go WAY back so I trust his guys. We'll be there on May 12th. Don't know when we're coming back but it will possibly be before you get there. Abraham (Doc) at Gecko knows where our place is and if we're there. Have a great trip.
