we want to look at the Pacific
We always hang out on the Sea of Cortez in our winter trips, but plan on going down the first week of June. We want to spend a night or two in Bahia
de Los Angeles (our love) and fully expect to cook our brains out. This trip we want to look at some spots along the Pacific side, in particular out
towrds Punta Eugenia, Bahia Tortugas, and Bahia Asuncion. Any road reports would be helpful, and an idea of the weather along the Pacific side in
early June. We also want to head up to Sierra de San Pedro Martir for a look.
Any hints on roads, surf/rock fishing, weather, campsites to hit, restaurents, etc would be appreciated. Of course if we hear nothing we'll go
anyway!

how about punta abreojos
i've heard thats a great summer surf spot....anybody been there??

The roads are fine but long
It will probably be foggy and wet in the nights and mornings. The water is cold but I think it's really pretty out there. Isla Asuncion is covered
with seals and fishing is really good. We surfed at Asuncion but it wasn't that great. They have the "Monkey Surf Team" in Asuncion and the people as
always are really friendly.
A good trip from Tortugas down to Asuncion to Abreojos.

June gloom?
We have NOT been thru the full loop, yet. It is DEFINITELY on the agenda for this summer.
We HAVE been lucky enough to spend some time in the Abreojos area. Nice little town with friendly people and great beaches and when there is a south
swell..........
On your way back out to Hwy. 1 you can spend some time at Estero Coyote, especially nice if you have kayaks or a small boat. There you will find what
is reported to be the northern most mangroves in North America, lost of birds and the ocassional fish, too. Miles and miles of unspoiled beaches in
that area.
Be sure and let us know what you find.

If you would like isolation and Adventure take Km 79 road North of Loreto, go over the Mountains through San Ysrido, La Puresimo, Commodu and to the
Pacific.
Ann O'Neils and Tios favorite time during the summer months was to leave Loreto and go to the pacific for 2 weeks, it is warm Days, Fog after 4
O'clock, good fishin and isolated.

Thanks for all the great responses. My tendancy is to try and see everything, take every road, camp in every isolated spot mentioned! Thanks again!

Well then you will enjoy this area
as it isn't very popular as a tourist destination and it is pretty wild still. Weather is an issue but in spite of it, we have had some really good
days. Put everything you don't want wet in something, including yourselves!
