Blast from the past: Finding the 'Lost Mission' and more!

Being retired has me looking for projects and adding photos previously left out of my trip pages. Well, one of the greatest trips my wife Elizabeth ('Baja Angel' on Nomad) and I had was inspired by the great lady of Desert Magazine, Choral Pepper and a hint provided by Baja Nomad 'SharksBaja,' who spotted a possible location for the mystery walls while looking at Google Earth, back in 2008.

The first opportunity for us to go and confirm the site was New Years 2009.
We first stopped at the home of 'bajalou' (Lou & Teina Wells) at El Dorado Ranch (San Felipe area) for their annual (and this time final) Turkey Feast.
Other Nomads were also in attendance, including Roy 'The Squrecircle' Hall, El Camote (Mike), El Comadante Loco (Rudy), and TW or TMW (Tom).

After the turkey feast, we headed south, overnighting on Shell Island and again at Bahía de los Angeles (Costa del Sol). The next day we headed on to see if the site SharksBaja saw was indeed the same place discovered in 1966 by the Erle Stanley Gardner expedition. We took paved Hwy. 1 home, overnighting in El Rosario.

This new photo album has nearly all the photos Baja Angel and I took over the three days... It supersedes the original 109 (January 2009) webpage:
