House for sale in Bahia Asuncion

LOCATION: Google Maps 4MJX+VR, 23960 Bahía Asunción, B.C.S
Google Earth 27° 7.936'N 114° 18.020'W

This is “the best little casa in Bahia Asuncion,” totally furnished, equipped, and ready to live in. Asking price is $90,000 for the house and an extra adjoining lot in the back, plus a little 1986 Suzuki Samurai that is perfect for tooling around town and forays into the surrounding desert and mountain terrain.

At about 100 yards from the Pacific Ocean, and nothing in front of you, you can daily watch the sun go down over the water.

This house is special because it is well built, then we have made many additions and improvements, and maintained it. Walk in and you see a modern, well-kept, comfy living space. Start with the cozy combined living and dining room. Enter a kitchen where we have added extra counter space and cupboards. Go into an area inside the back door that might be called a “mud room,” but we've built cupboards all along the back wall so I call it “my pantry” - enough room to store extra food staples and all kinds of other household items. Down the hallway to a bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower and two bedrooms, both equipped with comfortable king-size beds. One bedroom has an entire wall of built-in closet space.

This house has a LOT of storage.

Outside, we've added a garage, big enough for a car and still lots of extra storage, plus the washing machine is here. In the back is a flagstone patio, furnished with a round concrete table with benches, and a built-in barbecue cubby.

We bought this house in 2009, just a couple of years after it was built. It had been lightly used as a rental. We have loved spending time here over the years. You couldn't find a friendlier, or safer, Mexican pueblo. The people, both the Mexicans and the (thankfully) few gringos, are amiable and welcoming. There is a real sense of community. It is very difficult to part with this gem of a house and gem of a town. We do it because at our age we need to simplify and have all of the necessities closer.
