Cabo Fishing Report – October 5th – Blue Sky Cabo – Sailfish

Cabo San Lucas Fishing Report – October 5, 2026 – Sailfish Released Near the 95 Spot

October 5, 2026 – One Sailfish Released Near the Reef and 95 Spot – Cabo Fishing Report

A ten-hour run aboard the 60-foot Bertram Blue Sea with Blue Sky Cabo Fishing Charter and Tours produced one Pacific sailfish, caught and released, on October 5, 2026, with Captain David and three anglers fishing offshore from Cabo San Lucas.

The trip followed Hurricane Rachel, making it an interesting entry in the early October fishing records for southern Baja California.

Rather than describing an exceptional bite across the region, this report documents the outcome of one private charter.

Southern Baja Cabo Fishing Report – The Reef and 95 Spot

For fishermen familiar with Cabo, the 95 Spot is one of the offshore references that frequently appears in discussions about local fishing grounds.

The October 5 notes identify both the reef and the 95 Spot.

They do not establish the exact coordinates of the sailfish hookup or every area searched during the ten-hour reservation.

That matters when comparing fishing activity across different parts of the peninsula.

One successful billfish encounter does not establish that every nearby fishing ground was producing similar results.

Cabo Offshore Fishing Charter – What Was Actually Recorded

The Blue Sea carried dredge equipment as part of the group's reservation.

A dredge is designed to resemble a moving concentration of baitfish beneath the surface, attracting the attention of offshore predators.

However, the record does not identify the successful bait or lure.

Likewise, no verified wind speed, swell height, water temperature, fish weight, or fight duration was supplied.

Following tropical weather, those measurements would be useful for comparing conditions, but estimates should not be substituted for observations.

The confirmed outcome remains a single sailfish release.

Cabo Fishing Charter Report – Guests Staying in El Tezal

The anglers, Philip, Jason and Nathan, were staying at the Blue Sky Cabo Condo Villa in El Tezal.

Their telephone area codes are associated with Utah, eastern Washington and Colorado, respectively, but those associations do not confirm their residences.

The group reserved the Blue Sea from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM, with lunch and an afternoon snack included.

For visiting fishermen, this provides a straightforward example of a full-day Cabo offshore itinerary: marina departure, ten hours reserved, and a documented billfish encounter.
