Index (list) of Baja Places visited (photos)

I have had (for some time) an 'index' web page which makes it much easier for you to find photos of various Baja places I have been to the last five years. Some of you may have read that most of my Baja knowledge comes from books and only a few vacation trips. Well, this list is only some of the places I have been to since 1999. To see photos from the 35 years before, go to my album page.

That's right, in just the past FIVE years I have visited the following sites one or more times... with photos to prove it.

A few photos from my previous 35 years on the peninsula can be seen in my 'Album' web page (linked in VivaBaja.com and my Baja Notebook site.

As anyone can see, this long running series of travels into the Baja California Peninsula is far more than a few vacation trips to tourist areas...

A link to the page that will take you to each of these places is at the bottom. Not all trips are listed here, and the newest ones from 2005 are not yet included...

Info on the various places visited are in the captions under the photo, and/or on the web page of that trip and/or posted as a trip report here on Baja Nomad or on the former Amigos de Baja forums.

For the two you request info. on, here is what I recall:

Agua Verde had a beautiful tropical beach we camped on with a palm grove behind, old village north of bay (and newer Puerto Agua Verde village with tiny store), old cemetery, fishermen who delivered lobsters to us out of their panga one morning, and several miles north, near San Cosme, some hot springs in the tidal zone (tide was high, so we didn't see them, but I have photos that were sent me, in my web site, if you want a link.

On the road 'Ramal San Antonio de la Sierra': we took a side road and a hike to the oldest mining operation in California (Real de Santa Ana), sorry no exact GPS directions published per request of Jimmy Smith, who took us there. Also, we drove on, very high to where the giant guerivo trees grow, near Los Corredores in the Almanac (N23-39.01', W109-55.38' elev. 2,355').
Beautiful high country with many ranchos.

Did that answer your questions JR?

The idea is to show someone what a place looks like, not as a tell-all guide to it. It would be better for the traveler to experience a new place for themselves... The few photos is just to help you see what is there that may be of interest.
