More Shell game

Part of my forays always includes some beachcombing and collecting flotsom and jetsom.

This first batch was a more recent collection on a 1/8 mile stretch of beach. Do these look familiar? These are very common but I am not too good at shell or mollusk ID:

I wish I had some of the meat/muscles that were in some of those shells.
yummy
I have so many shells and have no idea what I will ever do with them. I told my husband that I was going to take them back to the beach. He said....you are going to WHAT.

Maybe I will do something like this:

Which ones are the good eating besides chocolatas ?
Are the pismo clams the smaller variety we find all over ?
What are the Scallop-like dudes we pick up at El Requeson ?

Pismo is like a big chocolata without the red foot..good eating, I don't think Pimos are much further south than pequena.
Pata de Mula are good eating but can be a little tuff.

Zuma! Yes Sir! What movie was filmed there, back in the 60's? Beach Party? Did you know that some of the best surf fishing was at Mugu and Zuma!
