Misson Santa Gertrudis

I am planning a trip to the mission late sept, early Oct.

Any info about families or persons living there would be appreciated.

Is there a locale store there for dry good or water.
Any suggestions for location to park vehicles when gone on day trips??
Any particular people or locations to avoid??

Thanks for any info!!

Corky

Corky as I recall there is a large parking area by the mission. We were there a couple of years ago and a caretaker for the mission took us on a tour thru the mission. He lived next to the mission. If I can find my pictures I may have his name on one. I don't think there are any stores there for supplies, probably GN would be the closest.

Geo:
I spoke to Kevin Ward, he rode it several years ago.
Last time he rode E to W and ran into a large rock slide and couldn't complete the trail to the mission.
I want to pick up the trail and see if I can open the trail again.
Any help would be welcome!!

Corky

Yes, it was Kevin Ward who told me... This is the same 'super human' who rode a m/c to Mision Santa Maria from Gonzaga , and back in the same day... on the El Camino Real!

Kevin was the location producer (or a simular role) for Dust To Glory.

Corky I'm not sure at this time if I can or not. I'm taking time off for the 1000 and the Code race in Dec. I want to go on the Pole Line Road run too to find a route I did about 15 years ago. When the time comes email me.

Corky, Baja Nomad 'TheSquarecircle' (Roy) knows the area well and has talked to me about going to that region south of El Barril to re-explore the area. Barry A also is familiar with the area...

I would like to go there... it's a matter of time/money/kids...
