Can one buy L A Cetto wines in California?
I had an amazing bottle of Nebbiolo (red) at La Hacienda de Tijuana last week. It won a gold medal at a Brussels wine expostion. Can you buy it in the states?

Baja Vida was once tossed out of a local wine tasting event for bring a large drinking straw.
His emergence as a vin commonsewer is simply amazing, and even a bit refreshing.

tend to agree Hook, the nebbiolo is tops of all i have taken in. we get the lessor quality yet drinkable at price point reds in the Poncho's yellow
store in mulege - about 6 or 7 bucks, its ok for a buzz sitting around the veranda as the weather finally cools.
man i am thirsty for some now......too bad it's only 1:00.......

How much does a bottle of Nebbiolo cost?
I've been through the guadalupe valley and the general impression is a bottle of anything starts at $10 a bottle

Yeah, 10.00 seems to be the minimum
I believe the Nebbiolo was around 15.00 at the winery or at the tasting room just north of Ensenada on Hwy 1.
You know, you taste the Guadalupe Valley wines and see what they are charging for them, and then you taste some of the garnachas, tempranillos,
mourvedres and sangioveses from places like Spain, Argentina and Chile and it's really no comparison. They are getting some good ones over here for
UNDER 10 bucks while the Baja wines are selling for more than twice that without any transportation costs or tariffs.
And they are not that good.........

i think it's economies of scale plus the south american appelations are just more consistant. sometimes i get a guadalupe varietal that's so so...and
then one of the same, diff year and its great.
somehow i've trained my self to drink good and not so good, but never bad!!

We were in TJ today and stopped by Bodega La Playa on Elias Calles for some liqour. We picked up some award winning Gran Centenario A?ejo Tequila
.695ml for $254.00 pesos and a bottle of Veradero Silver Cuban Rum .700ml for Barb's mojitos for $50.95 pesos.
They had the LA Cetto 2000 Nebbiolo Reserva for $166.70 pesos $15.65 US. They also had 2001 Cabernet Reserve Estate bottled at $215.00 pesos $20.00
US.
They had the regular Cab and Zin at $70.00 pesos per.
We will be in downtown San Diego tomorrow and will try and stop at the aforementioned Wine Bank and see what we see.

We went to Wine Bank San Diego today. They had two bottles of Nebbiolo 1999 Private Reserve Barrel Aged Estate Bottled for $12.99 each. They did not
know for sure if they would get anymore 1999. They took our name and number and will call us when they get more LA Cetto. We bought the two they had.
We will try one tonight.
