a rare animal


though over the years i have seen many of these trophies in local taverns this is the first one i ever saw in the wild. and captured it on film, yes the elusive "jackalope". it was just north of punta chivato i just happened on this buck, must have been rutting because he was pretty aggresive.

Our Jack is trophy style on the wall of our dining room in Ensenada. Can't have enough stuffed furry things! Long live the Jackalolpe! If the photo comes through, you'll see our handsome specimen hanging proudly center photo. This photo was taken during Christmas dinner 2004.
