Can you import and register a diesel vehicle ( Ford F350) in Baja Sur?

No .A diesel has to have a GVW of above 10,000 to be able to import into Mex. The F350 is 9,200 or so (I have one)

No diesel cars or pickups can be imported. I don't know why except it's the law.

That's what we heard too but I was not aware of the weight specifications.
Our crew cab has a service body which makes it over 10,000 lbs I think, so I'll have to look for a weight certificate.

We're starting to plan for retirement in a couple of years and are looking at various vehicle registration, car insurance, driver's license renewal options for when we no longer live in the US full time.
