puerto penasco fishing report 10/22

we left cholla bay after gassing up at about 930 am. flat calm seas and almost no tidal movement, perfect conditions. we headed to the 22 first for bait and caught all the pacific mackerel we could use and sardines as well. there were huge schools of them just 20 ft under the boat. we kept 20 in the livewell and kept the rest for cut bait and chum. we then fished several spots sw of the 22 and ended up with 4 pinto from 6-12 lbs, 2 red snapper at 4 and 6 lbs, 15 goldspotted bass from 1.5 to 3 lbs, and 20 corvina from 2 to 10 lbs.

there are some pics of the action on our website koolkatzfishin.com
