Inverter Blah Blah Blah

I recently bought a Trace 4024 (4000 watt) inverter...
Almost 250 pounds in weight!!!

Figured I'd get the "BIG DOG" of inverters.

Best price was at Solatron in Victorville CA
http://www.partsonsale.com/

Opened the box...hooked it up and ALL smoke.
Dead on Arrival

Today, I learned a couple of things.

First this solar company (Solartron) came thru and FIXED the unit yesterday as I waited....no problem.
Three hours of work One hour for testing

I was expecting a 30 day wait for repairs.
Mike the service guy also gave me a class on Inverter 101

Solartron is an authorized service dealer for Trace Inverters.

Second...Trace ia Made in the USA...ha ha....
All the parts inside are made in China....
Boy are we in trouble if China get mad:lol::lol:

I really have to recommend this company for solar products....

This is my second experience with them...

I understand that Outback makes great inverters, too.
