Thank you Pompano!:spingrin:

Even tho I've done my share of fishing, I've only fished Loreto 12 years ago...I have family visiting Loreto Thanksgiving and I want them to be with someone with a little more personal service.

Are there many kayak fisherpeople in the area? I'm looking at rigging my kayak and it seems like the perfect place to kayak fish.

Happy hooking! :o

use independent pangueros

There are many independent pangueros in Loreto who have been fishing here all their lives. They know the area, love to fish, need the work. It has been a slow year here for the fishermen. These guys are fun, knowledgeable and anxious to please. Some of the names that come to mind are Rigo Davis (from the states 011-52-613-135-0481) and Alvaro Romero (011-52-613-135-0928). Other names are Enrigue Davis, Chema, Eulogio and his brother Momo, and on and on. You can go to the marina and ask for these guys or check in at the office window. Nothing against Pam or Arturo, they also know their stuff and are good people; but the independent guys don't have websites so are at a disadvantage in this internet age. You can wait until you get here and ask around at the marina early in the morning while boats are launching or about 1 or 2 p.m. when they are returning. You won't be sorry.

Very good Info in all Posts;
Alvarro Murillo who is listed has been a Best Friend for over 35 years. I have fished with him since 1968.
Besides knowing were all the fish are located he is a smiling fun guy to go out for a couple of days fishing.

Good Luck

kayak fishing

Loreto Bound,
There are several ex pat's down here who love to kayak fish. Stop by the Iguana Inn when you hit town and I can arrange some introductions.

Thanks Julie. Look forward to it. Jerry--from everything I've read a license is required when kayak fishing....don't know how the strict the enforcement is locally...

Loreto Bound SOON!
