It looks as though the last update to his board was on the 15th. It also appears that the file that contains the board directory is empty. Nada. Not a single byte. That would explain why you get a blank screen, not an error message, when you attempt to go to his message board.

In the past he often had problems with messages being truncated. Now it appears that that has happened to the board directory itself. Let's hope he's been doing backups.

it apprears the Board has been shut down for good...

I just went to the university site and found an email address for Fred. I sent an email asking it the outage is temporary or pernament. When I hear back, I will post.

My web host (Dick Van Bree) is a moderator for Dick's board... just more technical issues, that's all... Just taking longer to resolve... Perhaps Baja Nomad Tim (another moderator and co-host on Fred's bbs) can add, if he reads this thread...
