lodging/secure parking in/near Tecate?

Late start, but on the road tomorrow. Would like to overnight in/near Tecate, and not drag out the camping gear. Have SUV with kayak on top. Any recommendations? And thanks for lodging info on Santa Rosalia!

Cheers,

We have been staying at the KOA east of town. Mainly because it is secure parking for our Motorhome/trailer while off riding. They have "Kabins" with and without bathrooms. A little pricey. Just search KOA and Tecate and their link will show.

Santa Veronica is another option. I got tired of beating up my motorhome on the road into it. Would be a rough ride just to spend the night.

Chase Trucks? ??
We don\'t need no stinking chase trucks!

6 or so miles north of Tecate, US side.

Potrero sounds good for $10 a tent

Something funny about Tecate KOA price list. Shows RV spaces, full hookups, going for U.S. 28.00, and tent spaces with no electricity going for U.S. 40.00 (????).

Thanks for ideas,
