I use Schaffer Supreme 15w40 motor oil with no additional additives.
It's the best; actually much better than Delo with any additive.
For fuel, I use Lucas occasionally to keep the injectors clean. In most trucks, Lucas will improve fuel mileage and power a bit.
Almost any no-gel will work for the winter. I have noticed that my newer Ford diesel is much more sensitive to cold weather than my older 7.3. The
6.0L really needs the additive in the winter.
I used to add 1 gallon of gas to each 10 or so of diesel in the winter with my 1980's truck and it always ran great. Loved that 6.9 just can't go back
for power after the 7.3 and 6.0 turbos.

I add 2oz Acetone per 10 gal of diesel - notice the imporved mileage immediatly. - Ford 7.3 and Ford 6.9.

Diesel additives
Weather isn't a consideration for me, the car will be in southern Baja all year. I'm concerned about high sulphur content, water, crud.

My diesels operate better on Mex than US diesel. Think the higher sulphur is better for the engines. With all diesels, you should keep tanks pretty
full to reduce condensation - but that's not much of a problem in Baja. Havn't had a problem with any diesel purchased in Baja CA. I'm in the north
though, the south may be different.

Pemex diesel is great in my truck, no sulphur. I add any brand injector cleaner once in awhile.
