San Filipe lodging

I will be spending the night in San Felipe next week. I am wondering where to stay. Looking for reasonable price and decent/clean room. Any suggestions?

Try Motel Pescador,El Capitan

or Hotel Chapala. Any of those would fit your request. We like Motel Pescador or on the other end and a bit more expensive El Cortez, the bunglows on the beach. There are a couple of new hotels just off the malecon, don't remember the names. When you get there just pick what you like the looks of. It's a tiny town it won't take you long to pick one. The hotels will let you go in and look at the rooms before you rent. Have a good time. We might even be there ourselves Monday and Tues,k:yes:

The Chapala has a nice view of the bay from the street side. Runs about $50 for two dbls and gaurded parking inside. Pepe, the daytime clerk has connections for about everything you may need, i.e. shrimp, fishing, etc... (he likes Bud Light)....... But, you're on the main drag thru town, and it does get niosy on busy weekends.

Just looking for a place for the night. We will be getting to town after dark and leaving first thing in the AM, so views & amenities are not necessary. Just want a clean reasonable priced place. Thanks.

Check the street behind the malecon

There are a number of small hotels in the first couple of blocks off the main street. They run about $25.00,k

My parents stayed at the Hacienda recently. $40 newer and clean. Food at the adjoining restaurant was excellent.

Mom, however, could not give me any precise indication as to where in town it was.

Mom always told me to be different - Now she says...Not THAT different
