Will the border be flooded?

My daughter told me the last time she drove through the border in a heavy rain, that it was totally flooded out at the Mexican side, and that smaller cars were in a lot of trouble, and totally stalled out. We are driving down from LA tomorrow. Is there any telephone number I can call to find out what the situation is before we find ourselve in a terrible mess! We are driving a Honda Accord.

If its not raining when you hit San Diego you will be fine. Only when there is a real deluge do you need to worry about the streets at the border.

Enjoy and don't worry!

Driving into Mexico should not be a problem. It's driving out that's a beetch.

The border road going west is 6' above eastbound grade.

DO NOT take the border road eastbound during, (or for several hours after) rain. Use 2nd street or the free road from Rosarito.
