Day of the Dead

A friend of mine and I are considering a trip to Cabo, San Juan Del Cabo and and Todos Santos for Nov. 1-2 to shoot video of images relating to the "Day of the Dead".

Are there any specific parades, or organized festivals that take place at either San Jose Del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas or Todos Santos that have to do with this holiday? Or does the majority of the activity simply take place at local cemeteries? If so, would the local people allow video to be shot there?

Thanks, Rick

If I were going to do that, I would definitely include the cemetary in Santa Catarina.
Since it is a religious ceremony, I would ask permission before filming.
You also might want to get here Oct 31.;D

Santa Catarina is a rural cemetary. Very old.

San Jose del cabo is good, but if that's what you want then just go to the panteones municipales in Tijuana or Ensenada and it's better without the travel expense.

If you are looking to be in the middle of a Robert Rodriquez movie like the celebration in "Once upon a time in Mexico" dont come to CSL.
