That is frickin' brilliant. I'm gonna build one with ramps up the sides just to make it easier for the little buggers to get up there. By the way,
last December I learned that a mouse can run up and cling to a wall. I also learned that smashing a dresser against the wall is a very effective
solution to that problem.

the guy who was the current "owner" of the trap said that every week or so one of the other campers would request the trap due to an influx of mice.
he said that during one stretch, there were no other people in camp and they were catching 12-15 a night for 3-4 nights. BRILLIANT!

Just add water
If you dont put water in the bucket they can jump out.
If you use a metal bucket you can put it on the fire to boil once you have enough of the little buggers. Add some veggies and you have soup/stew.

Had a mouse in our car coming back up once. It was a kangaroo rat. I couldn't get him out! Set traps and everything. He was in there for a month!!!
and finally just hopped out one day. He was wiped out, so we were able to get him into a box. My wife fed him and then we let him go in the park.
Should I have declared him at the border........

Here is a great ,old home-remedy for keeping mice and other rodents away.
Wherever you have a problem area ...drawers, boxes, cabinets, etc....just place a fabric softener sheet (like the kind your wife uses in the dryer) in
those places. It keeps them out of that spot, anyway!
If storing a car, pickup, motorhome, boat. etc. for long periods...soak a rag in Pinesol and place in a little plastic container. Works great,
readily available anywhere, and easy to use.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

During one of our stays at San Lucas Cove RV park I found a mouse nest inside the air filter housing of our truck. Imagine that! Now that was a bad
decision. Talk about natural selection.

During one camping trip I made some refried beans and tortillas. Couldn't finish them all so I through the rest out on the ground. A couple of days
later while driving I noticed that the car smelled like the tortillas and beans from the other night. After several days I noticed a pattern. In the
morning the car had no smell but after I had driven awhile the smell came back. I popped the hood and saw all the tortillas and beans- some packrat
had gathered them up and put them on top of the engine to be refried again everytime the engine got hot
