Pillars?
gonna have a slab poured sometime this year next to my trailer and then maybe have pillars put in with the local bricks and frame up walls in
between...just wondering if i'll save money this way or should I just have the walls done completely out of brick and not have to worry about bringing
down lumber...anybody had these pillars done and got a rough idea of what they cost??probably gonna want them around 8' high...

There is a place at the south edge of La Paz that sells the columns pre-cast. I think they are hollow and you fill the center with concrete to bond
the floor and roof connections.

If you are going to pore a slab and then put load bearing pillars on it you need to first put in adequate footings under where the pillars will be
before you pore the slab.
also you need to have Steele re bar coming through the slab to run through the pillars

actually i'm talking about the brick pillars which are so common in san felipe and all the campo's south,just looking for a price if anyone else has
paid to have these built for them

I have some but they've been here a few years so no comparison to todays prices. They dug holes about 3ft deep and about the same acorss and made
squares with a lot of rebar, tying them to the upright rebar inside the colums.

The columns you are talking about are 2500 pesos each, they are pretty,but even filled with concrete I don't think they would be strong.
