Baja to the Mainland

Hee, hee; does that make it "baja related?"

We are taking the ferry over from La Paz to Los Mochis, driving to El Fuerte for the bass fishing, then to Chihuahua. What is the best way to drive there? Down to Durango and over and up, or take the 600 km road over the top? Has anyone does this?

thanks for any help.

We had a guest visiting two weeks ago that wanted to go to the mainland for a week or so, and the ferry was not running. It was out of commission with no word on when it would be repaired.
Don't know about Chihuahua, but we had a great time in El Fuerte before we took the train thru Copper Canyon.
Let us all know how it works out !!!
