On Thursdays...I did an Orbitz search.

There is a 2:35 AM flight (ouch!), American Airlines/Mexicana, from LAX to Mazatlan.

There is a flight later that morning, AeroMexico, from Mazatlan to La Paz.

Try a search, LAX to LAP, on Orbitz.com. A bit pricey, as all AeroMexico flights are. And I bet they keep the La Paz to LAX route in May, if so maybe you can change tickets.

Hi Don,

Thanks for the reply and doing an ORbitz search.... I'd rather take a short flight to cabo than go thru mexico city or mazatlan and travel ALL DAY to La Paz, but with the cost of flights as high as they are, won't do either. Yes, we are just ANXIOUSLY awaiting for Aeromexico to continue the affordable non stop LAX to LA PAZ flights they've picked up through May.... This Saturday will be 14 days till our trip and we are remaining hopeful and positive that SOMETHING will give shortly!

Okay...we too have from time to time over the years decided we were not going to pay XXX flight price. Did the travel math and just headed down in the vehicle. Not ideal, some would suggest not safe, but I have made LA to La Paz numerous times in 20 hours without incidence.....and in reverse...a couple of times pulling my race vehicle... Just a thought

AirWest--undergoing a change of name to US something-or-other--goes LAX-LAP by way of Phoenix. Price was reasonable less than a month ago.

Hey Tim

I would undoubtedly LOVE to take that drive....and someday I will, but NOT with a four and a half year old who can't even make the 35 minute drive to Disneyland without at least ten "are we there yet?"s

Our road trip days have definately curtailed since the birth of our little girl....... and are slowly but surely improving with this little.....ahemmm......problem with long car rides??.....
