2 WHEEL DRIVES ARE FINE TO GET TO BAHIA ASUNCION
It's usually no problem getting here in a normal car but there is a sandy spot that you just need to keep your speed up and don't stop. People here
regularly travel in little cars and even motor homes come here. I suggest they call us when they are leaving Vizcaino and if they don't get here in a
reasonable time we come out and see what happened. the sandy part is close to town. There are sometimes some rocks on the road but it's a pretty good
road...definately better than alot of them. I always suggest carrying a hand held VHF radio in Baja for emergencies and it's great as you can call us
from the road. So quit dreaming of baja and COME ON DOWN! We'd love to meet you and share our paradise!

well that is an OK start DK, more promoting the general area than the b and b....but what i was looking for (If maybe Shari can add the photos/send
you more) are specific shots depicting the accomodations like you get on any online resort review or canned brochure - i.e.
1. bedrooms layout and amenities.
2. living lounge areas and amenities.
3. kitchen or "ette"
4. bath facilities
5. elevational views, up close of the digs
6. garden areas, patios with more detail
hope you get the idea, Shari.
thx.

BED AND BREAKFAST IN ASUNCION
Gracias for the input...does this mean I have to now clean up our house. HEE HEE! Our place is very homey and humble, as in not fancy with only 1
spare room which has a queen size bed and a top bunk...most only sleep in their room as all the action is outside on our patio. Also, the living room
has a hide-a bed that gets alot of use too. We have lots of friends who come and visit and decided to offer the room to Nomads as well...we don't
advertise as we really dont want hoards of tourists here but I thought Nomad may be a neat place to attract "our type" of visitors...baja lovers who
are used to an outhouse...which we have but it has a toilet seatand spectacular view!(I'll send a photo, ha ha) We live on a rock and can't have a
septic field here. We do have an indoor shower though although not gringo style pressure. This is why we charge so little, it's not super fancy but
what we lack in elegance we more than make up for in fun and enthusiasm! We are always looking for a place to stay in our baja travels away from home
and find most places very lovely but also way beyond our means so our place is kinda different. It's more the spanish immersion type experience...this
is our home and it's definately lived in. We are always making improvements and plan an addition and a 2nd floor view room for next year. We are also
renovating another beach house which should be ready next year which will be up to gringo standards with all the amenities and fancy dancy rooms..(my
brother is funding this and will use it as his vacation home for our family..so it's gonna be real nice!) So I will sweep and pick up all my boxes of
books and send some pics of the living room and bedroom ASAP. Get the picture now Nomads???? Looking forward to meeting some of you...there is also a
little hotel which you can stay in in town....no view but indoor bathroom! Hast pronto espero!

We do have our 2 bedroom beach house in San Roque that is an entire house and about 15 minutes from town. It is fully furnished but rustic with no
running water and 12 volt lights and sleeps 7. My daughter and I lived there for years and we loved it as the beach is incredible and the abandoned
village is charming and very quiet....good fishing off the rocks too. The motel in town is where the flying doctors stay and they have a restaurant
there too, it's clean and right in the middle of town. Our new beachhouse should be ready to go in November. We're adding a new living room and
kitchen to it. It's going to be so nice I'm gonna want to move in! Let me know if you want me to make reservations sometime at the hotel...it's called
Hotel Verduzco. We can come and get you at the airstrip too. Cheers...shari

thx Shari, appreciate all. is the beach area within reasonable walking distance from town and the hotel?
we'll come check it out regardless.
you beach house will be a winner and will look forward to when its available.
for us, some remoteness and privacy is key.

If remoteness and privacy is key then San roque is the place for you captain. this is what I value as well and why I bought the beach house...it's 14
steps from the high tide mark and is a 5 mile deserted beach...reminds me of home on islands in clayoquot sound off of Vancouver Island. We can drop
you off and pick you up a couple days later and make sure you have all the ice you need! The motel is in the middle of town, NOT private but yes close
to the beach. Let me know when you want to check it out...PS: I included some more pics of our places.
