Evaporative cooling
It is starting to get a touch warm. Are evaporative coolers effective here? Does anyone use a misting system for outdoors? I personally like the heat
and can always hit the water to cool down, but it's a bit hard on our two dachsunds

Swamp Coolers
The problem with evaporative coolers is that they are less effective as the humidity goes up. Since the humidity is rarely less than 50 %, they don't
perform that well. I brought a large portable one down years ago to try it out, but found that when I'd want it, in July and August, it wasn't
satisfactory.
If you feel it's hot right now, perhaps it would work for you.
I probably won't turn on a fan until late June, but everyone feels the heat differently.

villadelfin....swamp coolers work in your area up until about June 1st, after that it is too humid for the evaporative types. Think A/C then.
Another good idea to cool off..try the stand-up fans with built in water-misters. We bought 3 from Lowes, SD. about 4 years ago (largest size...about
$80 ea.) and they kept our patio/veranda areas very cool in the summer heat. Pro baseball clubs use them also to cool dugout areas in sports
stadiums.

You could also use the Rapid Cool & Arizona Mist systems on your area.

Good luck with the cats staying cool for the hot season!
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Ireland
The Green represents the Catholics, the Orange the Protestants (William of Orange) and White represents peace between the two. At least, that's the
explanation I've always read.

The misting fans sound like my best bet for spot cooling, thanks. BTW when I clicked the link you provided for rapidcool.net, it got
hijacked to another site.
Anyone else wanting to check their site
can type in the browser www.rapidcool.net or www.rapidcoolusa.com or you can cut and paste

here is a way to find out how good it will work for you.
1 get a cheep thermometer and wrap a peace of gaze around the bulb at the bottom about 3 times.
2 note the temp. with it dry.
3 put a little water on the gaze and put the whole thing in front of a fan for a minuet or two.
4 note the difference in the temp.
this will be ruffly the results you will get
here in Mulege in the summer you will get little change. but in the winter they work real good
