Strangely I have not heard any rumors about the course this year. I suspect it will be similiar to last year but in the opposite direction and certainly not up Simpson hill or the other silt hill.

Just what I was thinking....usually there is some advance "news" at least as far as the general areas....but the jungle drums have been silent....

Spent the last 3 days prepping my buggy and may do a shake down run later this week locally...need to dial in the rear suspension as I changed one of the coils and added preload....

Here is my guess!!

North out of Ensenada, thru Guadalupe, down La Rumarosa, south on
Laguna Salada to Mex 3, Valle T, Goat Trail, Jamau, El Rayo. Ojos Negros

Corky :?:

The La Rumarosa grade was a fun down hill run. The route you propose is similiar to the one in 96 I think.

Here it is reduced to fit on Nomad... The course is very much like that of the first Score Baja race... The 1974 Baja Internacional.

Thanks David....I will start at Ojos Negros Friday May 19 and go half way (or to Mikes) the first day ...camp overnight and finish on Saturday May 20.

Anybody else want to come along? I could even use a support vehicle to follow along the highway and meet at road crossings if unable to run the course.

Jim I may be down to do some prerunning around Mike's that weekend but not sure what days. I want to check out the crossover roads between the course. there are two. One at RM206 that crosses to RM223. Another at or near RM208 that crosses to near RM221. Also want to check the access road in from the observatory road past Meling ranch near K61/62 and meets the race course near RM200. I have business in San Diego but not sure if Friday is a good day for me. If you see a white Toyota with a Honda XR250 in the back that'll be me.

When you look at the map an access road on hwy 3 at KM110 meets the race course at RM154.

It's going to be a boys trip this year for Dern. They are leaving for Ens. on Wed. morning, then heading out to El Rayo on Thursday, heading south on the course to camp out for the race weekend.

I got "goosed" as a consolation prize. His name was a choice between Truggy and Tank. He's known as the Tankster and the jefe of the casa if you ask the dogs.

Attached is a photo of Tank and Charlie napping on the front porch.

Have a safe race everyone! Wish I could be there.
