PETROGLYPHS IN PALOMAR CANYON?

Looking throught a 1947 Desert magazine that I bought on E-Bay I found a story by Randall Henderson about a trip to Palomar canyon where they explore the canyon up to a point that the canyon walls narrowed down to a rocky portal only 20 feet wide the indians petroglyphs are just below this portal..Has any body been in this place or seen the petro..

There there, alright-----

------but I have not seen them since 1959, and things have really changed since then------several tropical storms with floods, etc. which really altered (destroyed?) the approach roads, or so I am told. I have been back to that area several times over the years but could never get back up Palomar Canyon in our vehicles. Last time was about 20 years ago. But, yes, the petros are really there, and they are neat. Lots of the canyons along the Sierra Juarez front have petros and pictos in them-----several close to Guadalupe Canyon. There is a hot spring up Palomar, also.

It is all fantastic country, and still very wild, I believe.
