Drought Resisant Plant: KIDNAPPED!
I posted this picture, taken not many days ago, on a Loreto Bay thread, as a Drought Resistant Plant:
Today, we were back there:
The plant is gone! That plant has probably been there as long as the picturesque ruins behind it, which were built by Jason and the Argonauts about
500 B.S. (Before Skeet). The plant survived all these years, but shortly after appearing on a Baja Nomad post, poof! Coincidence? I think not...

Wow, that's way out of line. I should hope that these perpertrators get caught doing this some day soon. The sad part is that this plant will most
likely die from the shock of being moved.

Don. Is that Doctors Point? Been there once many years ago. You have a better eye of interesting plants. I don't even remember seeing any there
when I was there? Did you visit the 'new' restaurant on the way to d.p.? How's the food these days if you did? The road there showing any
improvement?

Yes, Doctor's Point. I've been taking my kayak up there and fishing. I have not eaten at the restaurant...but I think the hours are 12-5 and it is
closed Sunday and Monday.
The road's pretty good. It's been recently bladed as far as the restaurant, and is not too bad past that. I drive a pickup, and do not need 4WD. Seems
to me it took 45 minutes three years ago, now it's maybe a 30 minute trip.

That was not a plant common to that area, I think. I think it was an ornamental plant planted to landscape the hotel, and survived the demise of the
hotel and the years since. I don't think it grew there naturally, and there aren't others around it. At least that's what I'd guess.
