Rooms in La Paz at Christmas.

Hi former Amigos,
Five of us will be in La Paz for Christmas and New Year. As yet we don't have rooms for the days of Dec. 23,24 & 25. We're looking for cheap for those days. Will we need reservations? How bout any of : La Purisima, Nuevo Pekin, Lorimar, La Mission, or Hotel Yeneka? Thanks for any input. p.s. we're all 60 and over and can hardly wait. Love La Paz!!!! Annie T.

Hotels in LaPAz

You might want to try Hotel Las Gardenias in LaPaz it is reasonable (single $25 a night I think) clean, A/C, pool and a bit of a view of the ocean over the rooftops in some rooms.

I would suggest reservations. For major holidays, too, a lot of hotels require a 3-day minimum stay, and they raise the rates.

One place you should check out is the EL Moro. It is a great place and great prices. It is little known. www.clubelmoro.com

Thanks to all and happy holidays.

Thanks for the input. We'll add the Gardenia to our list and try to get reservations where ever we stay. The El Moro has been added to our list for future trips when most of the ready cash hasn't already been committed. One more question. Are there any special Christmas activities we should be aware of and who we get in touch with if we would like to share some pesos for Christmas. Thanks again. Annie T.

Totally recommend El Moro. I spent a great Xmas and New Years there, two years ago. Good restaurant as well.:yes::yes:
