Massive Cooper Tire recall

In the May issue of Consumer's Report magazine, there was an article on a huge recall of many Cooper Tires manufacturered from 2004-2006. Most were light truck tires in various sizes. The recall was actually announced in February.

Also included are tires marketed under the Mickey Thompson Dick Cepek label as well as a Pro Comp Xtreme A/T.

This is the only link I could find that had some detail.

Thanks for the tip, Hook.

Fortunately my truck's Cooper Discoverer ATs were purchased a few months before the recall period.

Here's a trip I led in Joshua Tree last weekend (5/20):

That's me in my Jeep on the back of that poor guy's t-shirt. Notice the tires...

$1,000.00 Scrambler with Goodyear tires hits rock...

$1,000.00 Scramber gets flat tire...

Mike focusing on the trail, not worried about his tires...
