Beautiful photos, all of them! How do you get them to post so big?
We have a Chino Mera (Hawkfish in your photo) above our fireplace in Ensenada. I'd like to catch one like the one you pictured some day...

I use a 4 megapixel camera. The photos are cropped, then reduced (in this case by 1/3, I think). Then the photo is uploaded to a photo hosting site, and my post here contains a link to that site. Linking to a photo hosting site allows larger photo files, but I still crop and reduce so the page will load faster, and so that the viewer does not have to scroll across the page for all messages in that thread.

Big Photos

Depending on which software/program you use determines the ease of use for sizing, cropping and saving quality pics.

The below pic was saved with a lower dpi which reduces resolution. The original was 1.3 megs before cropping etc.

It's not a very close up photo, as you can tell. Maybe it's the holiday scarf and elf hat that it's sporting that has you doubting....
Or maybe the frog band playing in the back ground? Jajaja

What a cool photo, Ken.

And Skipjack - you're right; it looks much like the head/face mask of the lion dancers.

Isn't camouflage amazing?

Either that or Edward G Robinson. He has Edward G Robinson's mouth. Only lacks the cigar.

I've been looking at this image and what's peculiar about it are the eyes. They look as though they somehow don't belong. It looks as though you can see through the skin to the eyes below it. Then I realized that the irises where so perfectly camouflaged that they contained the coloration and design of the skin surrounding them. So you can't tell where the head ends and the eye starts.

Amazing.

He is an amazing animal. They are closely related to scorpionfishes, of course, but with the E.G. Robinson mouth. I like the bluish tint of the irises, I could actually see that underwater when I was harassing him.

"Yoooooooou dirty rat! You ... You gave it to my sistah".

Oh wait.... That's James Cagney. I don't remember any Robinson expressions. What can I say? It's a slow day at work.

Cardon,
I want that wall at my house!!! We have skin mount "Bob Marlin" caught in La Paz in 1958 living with us here in the states. "Mr. Marlin", a 350 lb, 14ft. Blue Marlin from Hawaii, his friend the dorado and the C.M. live together in Ens. as well as the "Pirate Wolf" and the Jackolope. Who doesn't have one of those? I keep trying to add more to the collection, but Dern won't let me...(insert tiny violin here). He needs to stop looking over my shoulder when I'm cruising Ebay.

Really Diver

It must be the resolution I have set for my monitor.

Which is 1280X1024

I would recommend this to Nomads whose video card will support it. That is one of the luxuries of a newer computer. Sorry, I forgot how it used to be.

Try increasing your monitor resolution. You may be surprised, and never go back!!:O:o:O:o

Ok, I made em dinkier.
