Dust to Glory Von's style
Tonight as we ran through our little home town Vons, shopping for the day, baja style, we passed by the video section and something caught my eye.
D2G dvd was front row center for $9.99 with plenty in stock.
Of course we bought it way back when it first came out for $25ish and had to see the movie twice in the theater, so what's another $9.99 more? It also
helps that we have no idea where our original copy is at this moment.
I actually bought it to give to my son so that he'd understand what I'm missing out on by going to his graduation next weekend. I'm such a bad baja
mom. I did try to tempt him into skipping the commencement ceremony in exchange for an El Rayo front row seat at the 500, but he's a good kid and
wants to do the march.
Dern is tempted to open the plastic wrap on the dvd and watch it for the umpteenth time, all pumped up for the race next week.
I've hidden it in the kitchen.

This act may permanently scar your son, causing him to sell his Nissan Sentra and building a full tilt prerunner and changing his name to 'Scorpion'!

Too funny Ken!!! If I were soooo lucky!!! Over the weekend I may work on him to trade in his Ford Focus for a Ford TT and I'd be the proudest mom ever
as long as he lets me co-drive!!! Actually he's been a baja kid since the age of 2, but school has him busy. He's accepted a place at UCSB in their
Engineering dept. this fall. I can't complain as we have plans for him to engineer our race vehicles when we win the lottery.....

Be sure to TIVO the Discovery HD version of Baja SCORE next Monday.
My timer is already set (since I will be in Machu Picchu, Peru)
Anyway, the D2G was terrific, but the quality was (ahem) grainy, at best.
So, the HD stuff should be, hopefully, OH PLEASE>>>>> be high res.
enjoy!!!

Okay, for you desert-racing aficionados and a bit of shameless PR, Andy Grider, of D2G 'fame' will not be astride a two-wheeler but will be
in a Class 10 car for the '06 Baja 500.
Number 1012, to be precise.

Here's wishing Andy good luck. This is a good course for a class 10 car, tight twisty stuff. With his MC experience he should do real well.
