September Weather - Mulege

I am told the weather is still very hot and uncomfortable in September and the mosquitos are plentiful along the River in Mulege. We had planned a trip in Sept. but maybe better postpone until October. Is this information accurate?

normally the first 2 weeks of September are just like August. around the 15th we get our first little cool down but it isn't much. usually between the 5th and the 10th of Oct. it gets pretty nice again.

Here in Loreto I found that, within a day or two, Around the 15th of October it's like mother nature set the thermostat to 10 degrees cooler.
Almost like overnight.
