The Joker
Either I'm hallucinating, or the Joker Hotel now has a Korean restaurant. Anyone brave enough to go there? Reviews?

I think you are talking Joker hotel in ensenada. There is a joker hotel in "Little Korea" in west LA. Its only a matter of time when the short fat
dancing girls in panties and bras show up. remember [THE GIRLS GET BETTER LOOKING AT CLOSING TIME]

I've wondered about the joker motel. Is it a decent place? Do they have a poker room? It looks like it would be noisy.

The Joker Hotel does in fact have a Korean restaurant now! The name is the same, El As....which I believe refers to the Ace in a deck of cards. I
think they have karaoke but not sure if they have a card room! Have not braved the restaurant but I did actually see people in there today when we
drove by.

Our teams always stay at the Joker for race weekends, it is out of the way, cheapish, and lots of room for race trailers, they dont care if you work
on stuff in the parking lot either. I stayed there on thursday night before the 500 but did not notice a difference in the resuraunt (did not go in).
Bar is very small with very loud Karoke. They used to have decent Mexican Breakfast.

The Korean Restaurant opened and closed. Just recently, in the past 2 weeks or so, a new restaurant took over that space. Los Molcajetes, a Mexican
restaurant. Have not eaten there yet so can't speak to that.

Los Molcajetes? Is that a popular name for a Mexican restaurant? or maybe this could be the beginning of a restaurant chain?
There's a a Mexican restaurant, Los Molcajetes by name, in Castro Valley, CA, in the southern SF East Bay.

Los Molcajetes has recently moved to Maneadero (just west of the "Y" where you turn to go to Bufadora) and El As has reopened at the Joker. El As
advertises itself as serving up mariscos and as a Steak House.

Man, that restaurant has changed cuisines and formats more times than Dennis has tried to hijack this thread.

A molcajete is a traditional stone bowl used to grind corn for tortillas and to serve salsa or sometimes to prepare and serve an entire main grilled
dish.
