Bahia tortugas

I'm planning a trip to visit Bahia Tortugas/Punta Eugenia.. I've never taken that route..I will be in a Ford f350 no boat. Can someone tell me what to expect and about how long from El Rosario.. I'll be staying at Baja Cactus my first night.. Thanks for reading.. Derek

Derek-

Just did the drive last week. The road is paved from Vizcaino to Bahia Asuncion Junction. Then, the road is dirt until about 10 miles from Tortugas. The road was in pretty good condition. I averaged about 40 mph while my friend averaged about 45-50mph. The road to Pt. Eugenia is dirt but very smooth.

-I'd guess it would take about 7-8 hours from Baja Cactus.

Agree with BAJABOY....lots of smooth open roads both on the highway (except for the hills just past EL Rosario) and even the dirt roads ....I remember doing 50 mph at times on the dirt and forcing myself to slow down as there was no reason to rush...

Why are you going...?.....fishing, surfing, exploring.?

I'm going to Eugenia for a fishing tournament and to check out the area.. After that I'm taking the coastal route to see my friends in La Bocana for more fishing..
