LOOKING FOR USED DOUBLE or single PLASTIC KAYAK

Anybody have or know of a used double plastic sit on kayak, please let us know. After a near fatal sea kayak incident here with a friend, my hubby won't let me "IN" a kayak, but I convinced him that I could sit ON one!

A couple were camping at the beach house in San Roque and the fellow who is from Spain decided to go kayaking around 10:00 alone as his girlfriend wouldn't go out as she did not know how to right her kayak if she tipped. They had this rather big "discussion" about the importance of knowing how to get back into your kayak and he didn't think it was a big deal. The guy was very independant and would disappear all day long sometimes so in the late afternoon we expected to see him returning and didn't worry. It just so happens that the very last fishing panga to come home was my husband and his partner Mingo and on their way back to port Mingo caught sight of a reflection on the water way out to sea and they decided to check it out. Well, it was our friend clinging for dear life to his kayak which was rapidly floating off to Japan. He was hypothermic and had been in the water several hours. Had it not been for the sharp eye of Mingo, dear Anton would be another lost at sea statistic.
So now when my pals go kayaking, I make sure we have a clear set of rules and return times organized to avoid other problems. It's always nasty having to look for someone.

I'm not a fan of Sit In Kayaks for surf conditions and fishing. Shari a SOT won't have issues, however why a double/tandem kayak?

Shari:
Sorry, we wont part with our 16' Ocean Zuma sit-on, but STRONGLY endorse use of a sit-on in your ocean conditions. Ocan Kayak also makes a good 12' "Malabu" model.

the idea of having the double is so Juan can paddle more and I can drink beer! We love to camp and would like to take just one kayak but hey if anyone has a single sit on top, I'd be really interested!!!!!!!
